CHAIRMAN

CHIEF KENNETH COREY

Chief Kenneth E. Corey serves as the Chairman of the Coalition for Emergency Response and Critical Infrastructure. He began his career with the New York City Police Department in 1988 as a police cadet, and retired in November, 2022 after more than 34 years of service. As the Chief of Department, he was responsible for the coordination and management of the agency’s operational bureaus. With an emphasis on neighborhood policing, customer service, and the improved health and wellness of officers, he was committed to delivering a safer New York City. In order to achieve these goals, he established trusted networks among local business leaders, media, intelligence professionals, local government agencies & community members that improved coordination among stakeholders. As Chief of Department he was also responsible for planning and directing police operations at major events at contained and open venues, such as Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium the U.S. Open, as well as the United Nations General Assembly, outdoor 4th of July celebrations, the weekend-long West Indian Day Carnival that attracts more than two million people, and every other parade and major event in New York City.

Roger Sherman is the Senior Policy Advisor to the Coalition for Emergency Response and Critical Infrastructure. From 2013 – 2016, Roger served as Chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau at the Federal Communication Commission, with responsibility for spectrum related matters, including auctions, competition policy, infrastructure deployment, and transactions. Prior to his service at the Commission, Roger held a number of senior positions on Capitol Hill, including serving as Chief Democratic Counsel to the Energy and Commerce Committee and Staff Director and Chief Counsel for the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. Outside of government, Roger spent 10 years at Sprint Corporation as a Director of Wireless Regulatory Affairs. He founded Waneta Strategies, LLC, in 2016 and served as Managing Director until 2019, when he joined Quadra Partners, LLC. Roger has a B.A. from Amherst College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School
